What a shot!

What a day, never thought a good hunt would be ahead of me this day.The start of the day went well for my buddies. Was having a good time but waiting when I could get this bow in sights. It's way in the afternoon and still itching to have my bow hit game. After hours of trailing the buck in the brush we almost gave up. We worked the dogs hard to bring in a bigger game than what we've had this morning.

Doing an about face to call it a day, he goes from our peripheral making the most magnificent moving shot to take. It was just a split second to full-draw on my bow and just automatically getting him in sight… a whistle gets its attention at mid-stride stopping just in time to catch my arrow. It was all to fast, am thankful that there was no misjudging its speed. While preparing the buck we talked about the shot being totally mine to make at that time at this day. the antlers aren't that remarkable but when i look at it hanging at my wall, am sure to recall the impossible to be possible…

Please ignore my incoherent ramblings, I fully realize I am quite drunk… lol
